Default Squeaks and Rattles

I hear quite a bit of squeaks and rattles. Maybe this is just part of not having a gasoline engine to drown them out but I’d like to do what I can to reduce them.

What tips and tricks do you use to quiet down your carts?

I saw some people use washers. If you don’t mind sharing type and size I would really appreciate it (trying to pick them up before next trip to lake house where cart is).

Default Re: Squeaks and Rattles

I put together an ezgo 2ys ago with an aftermarket body kit, rear seat etc.
The thing drove me crazy with squeeks.

The hardest part is isolating the noises.

Once you figure out where the noise is then you can fix it.

I have used felt for plastic on plastic. The easiest thing I found there is the furniture pads they sell. They come in different sizes and have adhesive on them. Just cut them to shape if needed.

Metal to metal gets a little tricky dependind on what it is. You can o ly tighten square like used on a rear seat frame so much before it starts to distort the metal..
Depending on where it it I have used rubber cut to size or nylon washers available from most hardware stores. Rubber will give a little where as the nylon will not so it depends on the structure. Also since there is a little give, be sure to une nyloc nuts. A regular washer and nut will loosen up.

You just have to play around and see what works.

For the ones you cannot figure out, just turn up the radio or give them a name. LoL

Good Luck !
