Re: My new hot rod . . . golf cart
Update on Jeff's cart. I went to Mooresville NC this past Sunday and pick up the cart to wire it for him.
I got the cart back to the beach house and started gutting the ACG crap. Yes crap.( Note) if you buy one of these carts their customer service is crap! They want answer phone calls and want return e mails. Nothing out of them. The website schematics are not helpful at all when you have 6 colored wires going to the controller and they only list 2 wires. Red & black and neither of those colors are in the harness to the controller. Any way the updates are in the new thread I started here. https://www.buggiesgonewild.com/showthread.php?t=173773 But as I move along on it I will post here also. So far I have took all the ACG wiring out of the cart and installed a 48 volt 400 amp Alltrax controller with the F/R contactor and the new gear shifter. It works great. After several days trying to get the ACG throttle and the old controller to work I gave up. It's Junk and that's being nice. I can now start making up the light harness and getting it ready to install. The cart is a knock off of a Club Car for sure. The pedals and such are club car even the Aluminum twin I beam frame. But it's not a Club Car electronics though. The foot pedal looks like a club car but it runs like a Ezgo 0-5K but it's a three wire and I couldn't figure it out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=52PCOxE5kvo&t=2s |

Re: My new hot rod . . . golf cart
More updates. Cart is wired basically and back together. Jeff will do the radio stuff. I have the main wiring and lights working. Jeff wanted to keep the dash clean and no more holes so...
Ended up pulling the controller and cutting the gas pedal off of it. I installed a Alltrax SR 48/400 amp controller with new Curtis foot pedal. Man this thing is slick. I like these Curtis foot pedals. I installed remote key switch. Remote key: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I45-zomvpKM Test drive: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tQizQ9vnZvc&t=3s |

Re: My new hot rod . . . golf cart
I ran into similar issues with ACG documentation and customer service when working on an 07 California Roadster a couple years back. That one had the throttle potentiometer set up like this Club Car set up.
http://i1109.photobucket.com/albums/...c.png~original Just like your experience, their customer service seemed to go out of their way to be as un-helpful as possible. I figured it out despite, rather than because of them. |

Re: My new hot rod . . . golf cart
Test drove it this afternoon. I haven't touched the controller yet and got 22MPH out of it. I will tweek on it this week and see how it does.
LED head light is in and I bought a light at Harbor Freight to get a gasket. It fit the head light perfectly after I trimmed it a bit. It's water tight and not shacking. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gG7lTQLBpMg |

You’re doing one heckuva job on this. Great work!! I’ve got an ACG California Roadster as well and love it.

Re: My new hot rod . . . golf cart
I finished up Jeff's roadster last week. He got to drive it for the first time when he came to get it. I think he was very happy with it.
