Default Lithium Conversion - CC Onward HP 6-Passenger

I have a 2019 Club Car Onward Lifted 6-passenger cart that I have had since new. It’s the HP model with the AC motor. It stays at the beach house and gets used pretty heavily moving adults, kids, and stuff to the beach/boat and around town. My original Trojan T-875 batteries are losing range and I’m thinking of going the lithium route.

I’m set on 48v pack(s), but I’m not sure how many amp hours I need to maintain or even increase my original range with this cart. Looks like most manufacturers offer a 100-105 AH model. Would that be sufficient, or do I need to look for more? Should I be looking for a parallel option to get more amp hours for increased range?

Any input on brands?

Any help you guys can provide is greatly appreciated!

Welcome to the page!

The saying that more is better applies here as well. If you got good results from the Trojans you should expect better results from lithium, as well as a substantial weight loss (you probably already know this).

When drop in battery packs were not readily available, I built (with a lot of help from some folks on here) a Chevy Volt pack that did well (it now lives in San Diego and continues to perform). The forum still has quite a few members that have built their own packs, but drop ins are definitely the more popular option. Some manufacturers have come and gone (you can see some threads on that in this forum).

All that said, I now have an Eco Battery in my cart and I am very happy with it. They are Site Sponsors and have good distribution and inventory. You might check them out as you continue your search.

Good luck!

We sell allied and evobattery only. When I find something that works, I stick to it. Have had zero issues with either.
