Default Carb settings

Hi folks,
I have this ‘83 harley/ columbia cart & need to find out the setting for the idle screw. It is the carb with the float bowl & side mounted fuel pump. Is it the same setting as the other carbs?

The manual i have only goes to 1980. Would like to find a manual for this cart.
Downloaded all the manuals i could find on site but no manual for 1983.

The carb adjustment on that is 1 1/4 turns out from fully closed. Certainly, it can be changed as needed from that point.

If you think you have a fuel issue you may want to check out the fuel draw sticky on top of the forum.

The manual that you need is attached. It covers 83 - 85.

One other note. If the carb does not respond to any normal sort of tuning check to see if the exhaust system is blocked up from carbon.

Thank you for the info.
I had it running, found a timing issue, but decided to take it apart to clean it. Did a dumb move & didn’t run the idle screw in to see where it was. I normally run it in counting the turns before taking it out. Such a rookie mistake. The manuals i have don’t cover this ‘83.

Thank you for the manuals too.
