Default 82 harley cart with suzuki 440 FC engine

Here are pics of the partially uncrated 440 CC Suzuki snowmobile engine. Way too hot and muggy to do anymore.

Finished the getting the engine out of the crate and on to a bench today.Did a lot of online research on the comet 108 clutch springs.I noticed the youtube harley cart snowmobile swaps the clutch was engaging at a high rpm and shift out was high.It looks like there is a silver spring in the clutch now so I ordered the black spring which is at the bottom of the list for pressure.Still trying to make out what is going to be needed wiring wise.

The black 108 comet clutch spring arrived yesterday at 5pm. It is rated @ 50lbs with the clutch open.I removed the old silver spring that was rated @85 lbs. My hope is that this will result in a smooth engagement and some reasonable shift out. While I had the clutch open I sprayed the ramps, rollers and pivots with pb drylube with teflon. I was going to start on removing the old harley engine from the cart but it still TOO hot and muggy for any heavier work.

Here you go G2-9.This cart was half flooded during sandy. It sat in a garage for those years until I bought it this summer and got it running. I eventually blew the fan apart with too many rpms and later cooked the rings with my ill fated go kart fan experiment. The tale is documented in my 82 Harley D model thread.I adapted the early muffler to the later engine. But if you look at the picture closely you can see all the corrosion on the frame, voltage regulator, starter solenoid, ignition point cover, and the fan itself.

I have very little idea but you can put a multimeter on ac and hook it to those wires and see if your getting ac voltage, then a radioshack retcifier would work if your under 100 ac volts
