Default Water resisting my new controller.

Hey Guys and Gail's
So I have the Ezgo 2008 TXT PDS
Controller went bad so I got a Alltrax.
No way the cover that covered the stock controller will fit over the new Alltrax and HD synolid.
They say you don't need a cover for the Alltrax but I am not that sure. I can see where the Alltrax might be all sealed up but what about the plugs
10 pin, 4 pin and so on. I can see water getting down in those and corroding.
Forr a temporary aid , I cut the top and one side of a clear square jug out and slipped it over the controller, synolid and wires. Hope this doesn't cause it to get too hot. I plan to inject some silicon greese type stuff in the plugs to displace the water.
I don't plan on getting it wet. But who knows what can happen.
I had a voltage reducer mounted near the floor near the battery's for around 6 years and it got to be intermittent . Took it apart and it was all rusted inside
Had to get a replacement Made a diy cover for it out of a plastic jug and so far no problem

What are your thoughts on this.

Dielectric grease for the harness connector and keep it out of the lake 😉

The Alltrax should not be covered. It has cooling towers and some models have built in fans. They need circulating air to dissipate heat. There are a few you tube videos proving it can run when wet. Dielectric grease is your friend in wet environments.

I'm not saying it is waterproof. I am saying it is water resistant.
