Default Rhino liner on frame to prevent rusting?

Hey guys, I am shopping around for a refurbed golf cart. I really like the EZGO, but am worried about the frame rusting because I live close to the beach . There is a shop here to refurbs 2014 EZGO's and sprays the frame with Rhino liner. The owner of the shop states that this will prevent any rusting in the future.

I was curious if anyone has tried this or knows if the Rhino Liner will indeed prevent rusting and how long it will last for. Thanks a lot for your help.

I have clients that live near water and request it. We do it. What people forget is you can't just paint over rust and it's magically now gone. Once it starts, well you know the rest.

I'd be interested to see it prior to the spraying, and what they charge for such a service.

I would think a moisture cured urethane like POR15 would be a better choice than Rhinoliner.

I have Rhinoliner in my truck bed everywhere except where the bed bolts to the frame... And now it's rusted through at one of those bolts...

So, if the frame is rust-free to begin with and you cover every square millimeter with POR15 or Rhinoliner then it should help. If you miss a spot here or there, it'll rust at those places and:

My thought is that if you get moisture in between the rino and the steel, it can't get out making matters worse. I would look at por15 myself

Although I am new to carts, I've been close to the water most of my life.

I am a POR-15 man..... a little prep work, a messy application, you are good to go !!

Hope this helps !

Up here we have to spray 'em with oil or special grease wax mix. Salt will find it's way into every seam and you need a liquid to "chase" it.

For anyone not already familiar with it...this is a great product...another factor is the fertilizers used on golf courses are as bad as salt for causing rust...
