Exclamation Alltrax XCT 500 controller not moving cart-no obvious errors and green light

Installed my controller today. Green light and no error codes. Great, right?

All my other parts (solenoid, 2guage cables and were already installed yesterday and I drove around fine)

Controller is green and ready. Mcor4 shows throttle response. HD Solenoid doesn’t click right now. It clicked fine prior to adding the Alltrax. Considering adding my Curtis back on to see if that’s it. Screen shots of WOT and throttle closed are attached.

Thoughts?

Emailed Dave but, maybe we can save him some work if I’m missing something obvious.

Thanks,
H

Your problem is the "Charger Plugged IN" flag right on the middle of the screen.

Did You by-pass the OBC or how are You charging.

You can change how the Alltrax Controller uses the charger interlock to make the error go away if your cart is charging fine.

Thanks!

Factory charger and the negative charging cable runs through it. That’s odd. Have I messed up my charging sensor some how? Why does it think it’s charging when not plugged in? I was no where near my charger when I plugged into it. I assume the Curtis factory computer didn’t mind the signal that the Alltrax saw?

Most important, how do I drop the charger interlock?

Is this a good time to switch to and on board charger and drop the factory set up?

The interlock comes from the OBC and it could indicate the OBC is not working since the Alltrax works by default with the OBC interlock signal.

Does the charger work?

if not, Did You upgrade the pack negative cable?

If you did make sure the OBC 10ga black negative output wire either goes to Controller B- or to a stud connector that goes to Controller B-.

If the cart is charging fine, change the interlock Setting:
Open the Alltrax Toolkit software and click on Tools then Options.

Make sure you have a checkmark on the "Show Charge Interlock".

Go to the "Controller Settings" Tab and scroll all the way to the bottom of that page.

Change the option: "Disable the Motor Controller when User3 is:".
The options are: "Floating/NC" or "High/Low".

Change the current option to the other option.
Click the "Set" button (on the left of the Program) to save the settings

Charger works

I did upgrade the battery pack negative and it slipped through but was snug at 2g and I crimped the end on the other side. Cart drove fine after the cable upgrades yesterday and today.

The stud connected has the harness cable and a wire to the B-.

Just to be sure I’m getting a good connection, I swapped the cable on negative from B- to stud with an old battery cable just to make sure. Same result.

Thanks for the info!
Should I swap to a built in charger if this one is acting odd now. Would you recommend that? Or keep my factory one going until something happens?
