2004 club car precedent backfired on decel
Can anyone help me out on this and steer me in the right direction. When the cart decelerates and is about to stop it pops like backfiring and also it kinda idles and have to tap the pedal to stop it from doing that I had a new gcor installed because it looked like someone had been inside and also had a new ignition coil ignitor installed also. It didn’t do this before the new parts were installed.

Re: 2004 club car precedent backfired on decel
The carb probably is not closing all the way when you release the pedal. Adjust the stop screw on the carb so it closes all the way.
If it does close all the way, also a good chance the cable running from the governkr to the carb is damaged or sticking. They're not expensive to replace. One of the 2 things will solve 99% of these |
