Default Fireworks on the 5th of July

Still putzing with the 94 Marathon 3 wheeler. Bought a set of #2 welding cables off ebay, and installed them today. Real nice set - except- came up a couple or cables short. Decided to double up some of the old cables to use until I got more from the vendor. I doubled the one from the solenoid to the F/R switch, and the one from battery positive to B+ on the controller. You know I crossed them. Put her in forward and hit the throttle, and it was quite exciting for a couple of minutes. Blew the bottom right out of the controller, and spread a little flame around the floor. IF YOU'RE GONNA BE DUMB YOU GOTTA BE TOUGH!!
So now I'm looking for a controller. old one was Curtis model 1204-027. I really don't want to spend $400 for a new one, where do I start looking? Sure hope I didn't blow anything else up, whatta you think?

That sucks. I have a used one, it came off a 36v 96 TXT 1201-1, rebuilt 300 amp -- ITS throttle input, with the solenoid , not sure if it will work on the 94 ezgo, but if it will, i want 125.00 shipped

I don't know if it will work either. This is a series drive with 0-5k input.
Controller is 1204-027, is there a crossover list?

I think your marathon has a - Pot Box Pb-6 Curtis For E-Z-Go Universal Applications, throttle, and the TXT has a ITS throttle, not sure if the controller works on both carts, some one with more info on ezgo would have to say so, this was on a series drive cart
