ezgo fuel pump exchange
Hi all,, been awhile since I last posted any thing. Have really been enjoying the cart till the fuel pump went south on the way back home from the corner store. Was going to buy a new one but remembered I had a new one that goes on a riding mower and thought I would give it a try. I made a fixture from brass fitting to go in the hole from the crankcase that provides the push/pull action for the fuel pump, ran a small piece of hose to the new pump, hooked up the fuel lines and fired that mother up. Even had better fuel delivery than before. the pumps look the same except the the one for the mower has three tubes going to it, one for in fuel, one for out fuel and one to operate the diaphram to draw in fuel. I simply mounted it to a bracket on top above the carb. Has anyone else tried this type of pump? Is it going to provide to much fuel vise the actual one that goes on the 2ppg engine, 87 model? Still want to remove the carb and clean it just wasn't sure of long range effects it may have. Any thoughts??? What do you think Dave? Donald USMC
