Re: battery charger help
Honestly, I doubt I could break-in a set of new batteries properly without a digital voltmeter and a good working automatic golf cart charger. Seriously, for what you already invested in a new set of batteries buy a used charger $150 from one of these guys who just went to 48v or something. Guessing wrong could cost you big time if you are over or under charging.

Re: battery charger help
I know but, I have had new sets charge from 7 to 20 hours initially depending upon how long they sat on the shelf and the charger, I guess? That's just it I am not comfortable telling some one how long to charge on a guess. I guess.

Re: battery charger help
There are no set numbers. Which is why they did away with the old timer dial chargers. Newer batteries take a charge quicker than old and chargers vary.... So yeah get the charger fixed or repaired to get the most out of your battery investment.

Re: battery charger help
look on the web for an off delay timer to handle the current / voltage for your charger, I will help you wire it in with a pushbutton. plug in the charger and push the button it will run for set time and shutoff.

Re: battery charger help
The whole point of this thread has been how do you know what time to set it for !?? Do you know the voltage and specific gravity of the batteries? IS the charger going to go thru 3 stages of proper charging ? I doubt it
