Wheel Alignment
2009 club car...front left wheel tilted in at top and out at bottom. Is this a spindle or king pin problem. replaced the spindle (not king pin) about 5 month ago..doesn't seem to help. Bearings on wheel are new. Tire is wearing bad on inside. Done the toe in alignment..that's ok. Tie rod is very close to the inside of the rim on this side. Other side (passenger) seems ok. tks

Re: Wheel Alignment
Check your A-Arm bushings. Also A-Arm for bent?

Re: Wheel Alignment
Spindle lifts are horrible for this condition. Very hard to solve and make right.

Re: Wheel Alignment
Is your steering still straight. I mean do you have to turn the wheel to go straight. Did you drive into anything immovable like a curb or road hazard?

Re: Wheel Alignment
Double check to see if you have wheel adapters...after-market wheels sometimes need them and they can bend when hitting a curb.

Re: Wheel Alignment
I have tightened my king pin twice. Lift the cart and check for movement. If you have a lift those cheap bushings wear out too.

Re: Wheel Alignment
Tks to all that replied...no lift, didn't hit any curbs. Will check the lower control arm bushings. Also, have replaced the front spring. Nothing is bent that I know of.

Re: Wheel Alignment
Is this a Precedent or a DS?

Re: Wheel Alignment
Dave....this is the same Precedent that I bought the mcor4 conversion for:
I replaced the spring you supplied me, didn't help. This wheel is out by atleast 1/2 inch from top to bottom. I did recently order a new bushing kit from you and plan to replace all the front bushings. I installed a new spindle with new bushings about 6 months ago. I did not replace the king pin. The control arm seems ok (not bent). Puzzleing......eddio |
