HELP What am I missing on my clubcar DS
Hello to all. I have a 2000 club car 48 volt. I changed the charger port on the cart because the old one was burnt looking. Now when I plug the charger in all I get is a click from the charger. There is no power output. Did I hook up something wrong or do I have another issue? It charged before.

I know this may sound silly, but did you plug the charger back in. Also check to see if the wire coming to the battery is hooked.

As far as the cart side wiring, only the negative wire missing would cause that problem, look at fuse #6 and the black wire that comes out of it.

Charger is plugged in and the wall plug has power. The black wire is on the main negative post. It runs to the charger port and another wire from the obc is attached at the same point.

There should be no negative wire from the charger receptacle to a battery post.
The negative wire from the receptacle only goes to the OBC. |

Weird. Wonder where that ground came from unless the obc was bypassed for some reason

Cutting that wire loose did nothing. I still only get a click at the charger and no charging is going on

Re: HELP What am I missing on my clubcar DS
Hopefully was due to some test because your charger cannot function without the OBC.
Measure your battery pack, then measure the voltage on the charger receptacle (+ and -), it should be about 5v less than pack voltage. |
