Default Removing top of cart for clearance

We decided to get a cart and the one we like sits 74" from ground to top of roof. Downside is my shed has a 74" clearance. So I was thinking of doing 2 things: 1) air the tires way down and 2) remove the top. Will removing the top gain me any clearance or will the bars it attaches to still be same height not netting me any extra clearance. Since it will only come in and out of the shed a few times a year the removal and replacement of 4 bolts to get the roof off won't bother me. Worse case i could pull it into my basement. Here is the cart we are getting. It has a 5" lift and 22" tires

Removing the top should net the clearance you need for storage as the mounting frame is below the top by about 1/2" if memory serves, possibly more....

No, no, no. Here is a fix, and the guy is right here on BGW. PM me and I will give you the info. I did this so mine would fit in my toyhauler.

I know of that mod as I've seen it before but given what the OP said it's a pricey solution.....but, perhaps if price is no concern then go for it....

It is cheap. Just around $100. Drop in that hat if it does what you want. We spend so much on these carts. This is so worth the money. And, the OP never said anything about this solution........

I dunno, I had never seen that mod before for lower the roof like that, my neighbor could use that for the shed he stores it in. I thought it was pretty dang trick myself...

If you can stand a couple of inches of headroom loss, cut 2" out of the uprights put a sleeve on the inside and pop rivet back together.

If you are 6'3" like me, you don't want 2" cut out of the uprights..........
