DIY wake boat cans? Nice. Didn't realize Kenwood made a waterproof deck like Clarion.
Nice cart..... both of 'em! |

Looks good, and I bet it's LOUD! (I've spent more than my fair share of time on a wakeboard boat)

Re: Stereo install in my 96 EZGO pics
Thanks for the compliments guys. I picked up the marine Kenwood unit used, and had those speaker pods laying around for awhile & thought it would be a good fit for this cart. I used some stainless braided line for speaker wire covers/grommets - had that lying around from an old boat project a few years ago too.
I just picked up those 6.5" wetsounds speakers and yea, they are loud but I don't think I have enough bass at all so now I'm starting to think about a subwoofer. Got my eye on the Bazooka powered unit that looks like a Nitrous Oxide bottle Thought that might go well with those cans. The main thing I like about the Kenwood unit is that it has ipod input and controls as well. I don't want to be lugging around a bunch of cd's on the cart! I can't remember the size of the trailer....seems like about 7' long maybe? It was my girlfriends, but I kinda took it over last year and removed the mesh bottom it had in it and installed a now solid floor with sides and repainted the thing. It added a little weight and I think it pulls a little better... |
