Club car gas precedent 2007
Yesterday was riding in cart when I started hearing what I thought was a plastic bag under the cart flapping in the wind. I pulled over looked nothing underneath. Got back in went a mile or so and heard the sound again. Re- looked nothing. Today I got in the cart backed it up, placed in forward and pressed the gas but went backwards. I stopped worked the gear shift back to reverse and then forward. The cart then went forward and down the street we went. The car would not go no where near top speed and would rev and then drop down to the lower speed. I'm thinking maybe the plastic bushings in the clutch was what I was hearing...... If it is the clutch do they make a high speed clutch that would give me a little extra sped. Thanks everyone who reponds.

Re: Club car gas precedent 2007
Ok so after some looking into it I found that the belt had frayed a little bit and was wrapped around the clutch. The plastic bag sound was the belt wrapping around the clutch. Removed all the belt and I'm off and running......
