Since this is posted specifically in the "Gas Club Car" section, you may get biased replies. I say...Club Car!

Re: club car or yamaha?
Your's truly has two Club Cars ('92 and '05) as well as a Yamaha ('90). Granted, the Yamaha is an older cart. I have a couple of electric CC's also (yes, I have an addiction) along with a couple of Harleys.
I gotta tell you, I have had few problems with the Yamaha for it's age. It's a solid machine. Those Club Cars are amazing though. They just keep running and running. Keep maintenance in mind. Any cart mechanic, by default, will be an expert on the Club Cars. Yamaha's are prevelant too but not like the CC's. My hunch is that you'll be fine with either cart but I would get the CC. |

Re: club car or yamaha?
Its pretty much a preference like buying a car, they are comparable, and plenty of parts are availiable for both.We have a 96' G16,and its run hard daily for years and still as good as the day we got it.Yamis do ride a little better off road, since they have coil springs instead of learn springs, but i do like the ClubCar steering.

Re: club car or yamaha?
Well,I got the club car.runs great, but I'm already planning on lifting it this winter. I'm thinking 6" with 12" wheels. Don't know which kit to go with, but some lifted ds's I've seen look like the front wheels should be stretched forward more.what lift kit will move front wheels forward more? I like the look of a longer wheelbase.

Re: club car or yamaha?
In think my 6" lift moved the front wheels forward by 4-6". See my signature pic below.
