1995 Yamaha g9 lift kit availability
Hello everyone!
I am looking into lift kits and noticed that they all fit g2/g9 from 85-94. Was there a major change in 95 or will I be alright if I order the kit listed for 85-94? Thanks, Ryan |

Re: 1995 Yamaha g9 lift kit availability
The G14 started in '95 and replaced the G9, there may not be many 95 G9s out there. Not sure why they would not list G9 to 95 but who knows. G14 is a total redesign but mostly G9 engine, in '96 the G16 came and is a G14 with a new powertrain that was finally ready just about everything is different than G9. The cradle articulates, the body is all different, the engine is different on G16.
G2 has tubular welded front swingarms and shocks, G9 has stamped swingarms in front and shocks with the same 2 piece front body and other detail changes, while the G14/16 has a one piece front body. |
