EZGO custom rear suspension help SnS brand?
I bought this 97 gas EZGO txt, but it has some after market mods to it, like a 23hp briggs motor, and long travel front and rear suspension. The front is jakes brand but the rear is some custom brand stamped "S-n-S". My problem is that I added a rear seat and my back end is bottoming out. I figured I would add heavy duty leaf springs, but the forward spring mount is holding a custom bracket for the larger engine mount, and the rear shackle goes to a Y piece that attaches to the rear differential. Does anyone know what brand "S-n-S" would be so I can ask them for some help? I will add some more pictures in a few days (Sorry the cart stays in mexico)

Does it have coilovers on the rear suspension setup? If so, just replace with stiffer coilovers.

Re: EZGO custom rear suspension help SnS brand?
Man, that is one "different" set-up. I've never seen one like that before.
It does look like you will have to do what 270Handiman said. That rear "Y" piece looks like it stabilizes the rear axle in the center and doesnt allow it to move side to side. Also, the trailing arms don't make it all the way back to the axle? So, stiffer/heavier coil springs look to be your only help with the load without major re-working that whole set up. I'm sure some others will come along with some more suggestions. |

I can barely see it.....but those coil overs look adjustable. Looks like you can stiffen them up some more as they sit.
