Default powering a winch

I need to produce about 50amp at 12volts, to power a winch! Maybe that will help keep from smoking another motor and controller! Any suggestions or experiences, idea's?
Im running a 48v club car ds.

If your going to run a winch you have two choices, kill one of your pack batteries long before the rest of your pack or set yourself up with an auxiliary 12 volt battery. I would recommend using an auxiliary battery.

After reading most of your 42 post to BGW I would suggest a change in the way and style of your post. I feel slightly put off reading a lot of what you have said here, everyone here is here because we like golf carts, we all can offer help in the areas that we excel in, and we all respond better to polite people.

An auxiliary 12v battery is the only way to fly for accessories. Doubly so if you are trying to power a winch.

Aux battery for certain. You can mount in bagwell. I have used jumper cable wires to run from battery to winch as you can sometimes find those cheap!
