Primary clutch removal - Yamaha G-22
Hello All,
I have a 2006 Yamaha G-22 4 stroke... I am gonna do the clutch today.. I tried to get it off yesterday but could not get the main bolt out.. Its either super tight or I am going the wrong way... Are the threads on the long bolt that holds the clutch on reverse threads? Another words do I loosen it bye turning right instead of left? Thanks All, Ant... |

Yep, normal threads on the bolt. Using an impact wrench helps alot. Do you have a good clutch puller?

No clutch puller yet, I may have to buy one but I am trying to avoid spending 37.00 for something I need for 3-5 mins and probably only need it once.... There is a golf cart store/shop 3 blocks from me, I am gonna see if they will rent me one for 10.00... Thank you Ant... |

Or see if they will remove it for you (if you could easily get the cart to them)!
