Was there ever a verdict on the model of the original golf cart in question? I just picked one up that looks exactly the same except its got an 8 hp kohler engine in it but I was wondering about where to get parts for the axle and brakes.

Unforgiven, the bolt pattern on my Vanster is 4 on 3 3/4" and I've still not found wheels wider for it.

I may just have to spring for adapters so that I can put 4 on 4" wheels on it instead, but they want around $250 for a set of 4. I'm sure though that it would ride a lot better on the gravel road here if it had bigger/wider tires.

Vintage carts has the adapters but yes they are high. I converted it to mm 4on 95 and looked at atv wheels. Closest I found was a 4on 100. Just an idea if you can find a old golf cart you may can swap hubs. That vanster would be awesome jacked up with some 24s under it.

I'm still looking at options, but will most likely go ahead and get the adapters. Then I'm set up and can get just about any wheels I want.

Another problem is that the hubs are so close to the leaf springs on the back that I should have the adapters anyway.

Not sure I want to go that high, but may go with 22" tires on 10" wheels.
