What is the biggest amp controller I can use with my TXT Series stock motor?

I have a 97', Lifted EZGO (6 inch Jakes spindle lift) and 22in tires. I want to keep the stock motor for now but I will upgrade it if it ever quits on me. I know I need to upgrade the cables to 4 guage and already ordered some welding lead cables. I want to know the largest amp controller I can can use with my stock motor and still be able to upgrade the motor in the future and use the same controller that I will upgrade now...

get the biggest you can afford. aside from cost and physical size, there is no penalty for oversizing your controller.

Curious why would you send 500+ or more amps into a motor that was designed to handle 250-300amps max?

Seems like a recipe for disaster.

Utter non-sense. This motor can easily run with any size controller you want to put with it without a worry.

i ran a 700 amp controller on a stock CC motor. Now you are limited on your controller size do to the 4 ga cable you got instead of going with 2 ga.... 500 amp max on 4 ga
