Default best color for resale value?

have a 2008 Club Car DS in the standard golf course green and it's fairly well faded and time for a new coat. I am a very minimalist person and am thinking just satin black with a white bed liner for the roof, but I intend on selling it in the next 6 month to a year and do not want to go crazy with the colors and make it where only a few people would be interested in it. same goes for reupholstering the seats. just plain white or black seats?

not sure if it's worth mentioning but I have plenty of autobody experience and tools, so I am doing all the prep, painting, and upholstering myself.

In my opinion... if you are wanting to paint it for resale it needs to be a color that will catch someone’s eyes. Satin black with a white top I would walk away from. Just look through some brochures for new carts and pick one of those colors.

I second re-sale red. I am not really a red guy but i refurbished 3 Yamaha carts last year. Painted one Silver, one blue, and one red. All were metallic colors. By far the red one popped the most. I did black bedliner on all three tops. Seats were redone via Up-2-Par covers all 2 color. The red one I did on red/black. Here is the red cart.

Resale red is a term that comes from car flippers. On a sports car it is golden

Hard to say for sure. I prefer dark blue, silver or white. I would not buy black or red. Maybe a burgundy....

Definitely hot pink or lilac

Seriously though, I don't see too many red golf carts, so "resale red" might not apply to golf carts? If you're wanting the color that appeals to most people, go with neutral colors rather than bold. If you're painting a fully customized cart, bold is the way to go.

The colors I see the most are, in this order:

Stock colors:
white
green
blue

Custom painted:
silver
black
medium blue
grey
orange
local team colors

Wraps:
camo/mossy oak
blue lightening
red flames

There is no right or wrong color choice. I personally don't care for the standard most common colors like white, green etc. Looks like they came right out of the fleet on the course. I think most people want something that stands out a little. I would not do a flat color. To me, most important is to make the paint job look good and look like the cart has been taken care of and not some half assed job just to sell it. Take your time and pay attention to the little details. here are my blue and silver carts I painted. Also an EzGo I did to keep. Not a color you see everyday. Again, details are important. But red does pop!blue 3.jpg

I have always been partial to blue and burgundy but one of my favorites was my electric blue cart..

I do well with metallic blue, I use it on 50% of my builds. Everytime I did a metallic red I had trouble selling it.
I actually do better with the 2020 Onward colors like their silver then the reds.
Black in metallic does great but only on certain builds. I stay away from fleet solid colors like green, tan, whites,
Here's just a few of my builds I sold just in the past few weeks, all done within the past month and sold
