Question G1 engine swaps

Good morning. Im looking to swap the engine/drivetrain in my Yamaha G1. I know that it will likely involve swapping the rear. Just looking for any successful swap stories or ideas. Pictures would be great. Thanks

I have done a Briggs Vanguard swap in my G1. I also replaced the rear end with a newer style G2 rear end to have reverse. I cut a hole in the floor and now have a shifter for F-N-R. My advise to you is to find a newer cart that already has reverse. The G1 is a great cart but are far from ideal for 4 stroke big block conversions.

I installed a Honda clone engine in my G1, 16 hp Duro Max with a G9 rear end.
Also did a few body mods. See Geep1 Project in my signature.

Not my cart but I like what he did with it. I plan on extending mine and making a 6 seater.

Im in the middle of a polaris 300 atv swap. I used the frame from just behind the neck including independent suspension. Really fit in place well. Working on trying to find shocks now. Heres a few pics of what I've done so far. I'll post more when complete
