2004 ezgo txt
I installed a new carberator and driven clutch 28 degree. Under load cart is sputtering and has no power. I adjusted the valves and it has 150 compression on both cylinders. Any ideas greatly appreciated

If it's an aftermarket carburetor they are junk, better to buy oem or rebuild the one you have.

Re: 2004 ezgo txt
yes sir, those $49.95 carbs on the internet are not the answer, when we recommend a new $300 carb to a customer some will say i can get one cheaper on the internet....well than take your cart home and ignore the experience we have to offer...than i will see you again in a few months, than maybe you will listen. A fool and his money are soon departed.

I wondered. I only gave 25 bucks for it. Do you guys have a link for a good carburetor?

Before dropping 200 bucks on a new one, is there damage or something preventing you from cleaning your old OEM carb? Usually a good cleaning and blowing out with compressed air is all they need and they're as good as new again. |

Re: 2004 ezgo txt
No sir and that's exactly what I will try. When I took the old one off and installed new one there was 2 spacers I put them both twords the head but I'm wondering if I should have put the thinner one between air breather and carb.cant seem to find a picture to look at. Usually I take a picture before I take it apart but didn't this time.

Re: 2004 ezgo txt
Am I correct to assume there's only one spacer between carb and head? This doesn't show on other side of carb. I have 2 spacers or they call them insulators. One is like 2 inches wide and one is like a inch wide. I put them both between carb and head.im betting I messed up there?
