Default 89 ez go

I have a 89 ez go that won’t turn over, I hit gas and there is nothing, the battery is reading 12.9 volts, so where do I start

Check and clean all the pos and neg battery cable ends and any connections from the throttle box to the starter/generator. That includes the ground strap/cable from the engine to the frame or cradle.
