Yeah, really the only problems i've seen them come in with are either bad/dirty carburetors or user abuse. The last two came in running on one cylinder and it was just one fouled plug. I have seen them with one connecting rod broke yet still running on the one good cylinder. quite good if you hate being stranded. NEVER seen one toss a timing belt yet.

Perhaps in the future EZ will learn how to tone the vibration down like Yamaha did with their Quiet Drive stuff.

Never got into the repair part, only bought ezgo carts 2 to 4 years old that ran good, did lift kits, wheels and sold in front of our antique shop. Probably did 20 or so. Never had trouble with one and kept a 2000 txt bought in 02. Changed the oil in it 4 or 5 times, a couple batteries and put gas in it. But only use it around the property, in fact it has original plugs in it.

Well here the shop is located in a very anti progressive rural area so not only are the carts thrown through the ringer (rolled over even, missing parts of the body, twisted frames, and yet they still use them, and their truck ain't much better shape! Most are farmers or even industrial workers. But you'd assume they'd at least wash them before pushing, pulling, or dragging them in!

so we do get to do many rebuilds, although most are on the Club Car FE290s and Yamaha G2-G9 engines. people tend to enjoy bypassing the governor and then wonder why it 'backfired and just stopped.'

Even today, on electric cars, you just can't get people to understand why their charger won't kick on if their cart batteries went completely dead over winter. 'A charger is supposed to, uh, charge batteries!' they say....

During spring, we get tons of what i call, 'dead battery specials' (we have Pro Charger Systems chargers to boost the pack to full) and 99% of the time the customer thinks their charger died.

Right now two TXT twins are down for motor rebuilds (bypassed governor and lost all compression--can turn them easily by hand) and a Club Car FE290 blew the crank seal out and spewed oil because they put WAY too much in (4 quarts?!)
