![]() The picture you showed me is the same machine I have. So I should be refering to my machine as a Marathon? Also with regards to the belt. There is a lot of free play in the belt that came when I bought it and that is why the seller said I should but a 40" belt on for better take offs and it would make it go up hills and rough terrain better?

![]() I guess you can call it a marathon if you want, I'll never call mine that. I have to agree with divot about the belt, if you have the stock one it should be fine. lots of free play doesn't really tell us what belt you have now(they all are like that to some degree) , any numbers on it?

![]() Now that was funny, I choose to call mine "needs a lot of work" LOL. I was asking for reference to parts, should I tell them I have a 1992 Ezgo GXT-804, or a 1992 Ezgo Marathon when I am looking for parts?

![]() Hey Jon I just read your post on shorter belts in tech. The belt I have on my 92 marathon is a 1351 40 3/4 belt which I believe is a stock belt. In your tech post you said to use a Yamaha belt. Is that belt shorter than 40 3/4. I would like to put a shorter belt on for more power. If so would you have a part number or a Napa part number for a shorter belt than 40 3/4? The stock belt that is on the cart now slides on and off with no problem so I dont think I will have much trouble putting a smaller belt on.

![]() I've never use the yamaha belt so I can only go by what other people have said about it. I believe there are alot of threads about it plus what the guys have said in the thread your talking about. I don't know the part number but yamaha uses just one 39" belt for all its 4 stroke carts models so it shouldn't be to hard to figure out.
