Default Cart only moves at half throttle on 02 48 volt

The cart only moves at half throttle and dies at full throttle. Batteries are good and selonoid is good. What is wrong?

Welcome to BGW

Sounds like your throttle is bad. Do you own a volt/ohm meter?

Thanks for the welcome.

Yes, I do have one and all the meter readings were normal.

Where is the throttle located? Is it under the cart?

Do you have a F/R switch lever or button for F/R?

On that model....I "think" its underneath. You should have a Purple, black, yellow, blue and green/white stripe on the pot box. You should be able to measure the resistance at the controller where the yellow and green wires connect to the controller. A club car uses a 5k-0 ohm potentiomter to control a throttle %. 5k is 0% throttle and 0 ohms is wide open.

What it sounds like yours is doing is getting to say....2500 ohms and then nothing.....or going out of range.
