??? On lifted cart
I may buy another cart that doesnt need as much work as mine so the kids can have it for holloween. Which is better gas or electric...
Keep in mind that I will not be going to any campgrounds anytime so the fact that te gas ones aren't allowed on some of them isn't an issue. My first reaction is gas so I have a longer run time. An electric one just gives me worries of my kids running it out in a few hours and me having to push it back. I am guessing an electric maybe easier on maintenance????? 95 percent of usage will be in my paved neighborhood. All advice and experience appreciated. Ron |

Re: ??? On lifted cart
Also, I heard that the CC have aluminum frames.... so the rust issue I have on this one in a spot shouldn't be an issue....right?

Re: ??? On lifted cart
Personally I like gas. They both require upkeep and batteries need to be replaced about every 5 years or so (not cheap). I think gas is easier to work on and if the kids run it out, a whole lot easier to take a can of gas to the cart then having to bring the cart to a plug.
Just my penny and a half. |

One other thing, as far as the alminum frame goes. They don't rust but they do oxidize and if they happen to break a weld or something it's not as easy to fix unless you know how to weld aluminum.

Re: ??? On lifted cart
Gas Yamaha cart. I can count on it more then the sun rising. I put a full tank in it every couple months and use it every day. My wife has a gas club car it's ok for the kids but we both like my Yammy better. We had an electric one for about 6 weeks. It was fun around the neighbor hood and all but I traded it for a quad for my wifes birthday. For me it's just easier to have gas then electric since we camp a lot.

Re: ??? On lifted cart
Thanks JC, I hadn't thought about Yamaha.....
All of the aftermarket bodies, parts, etc that I see are most ezgo or club car. I definitely want something that w e can change, tinker with, and modify for years to come. My current 87 isn't a good example for this either... :( |

Re: ??? On lifted cart
I go with gas, I have a gas 1991 club car and my frame has no oxidation of any kind and i live in Michigan and my carts outside most of the time, all 3 of my ezgos 88, 94, 97 are all gas much easier to work on than trying to work on the electric cart with all the added electronic parts that i cant test. every 3-5 years another 8-9 hundred for batteries in a electric cart , I dint think so. By the way, kids wont push a electric cart home, too heavy :)
