2007 Club car Precedent....
I did this conversion and all went well except when I went to charge the batteries... The charger was on all night and when I went to check in the morning, it was charging at 5 amps. The voltage across one battery was 9.5 volts..... did I miss something in the conversion. Or do I possibly have a charger issue?
I am perplexed.... any help would be appreciated.

That happened to me. My conversion and OBC bypass went well but the end of the season I brought my cart home for the winter. I parked it in my garage and plugged in my DPI. Next morning it too was charging around 5. I looked up and down trying to figure it out. It turned out the outlet I was using was overburdened...tried another outlet on another circuit and back to normal it went. May not be your issue but worth a look.

You did a Obc bypass. I wasn’t aware that the On board computer needed a bypass when you make the conversion. Can you tell me more about that?

Btw, my cottage is in Vermont... 45 minutes from Montreal... Great city to visit

Hi Larry,

You don't have to bypass the OBC - I just did that because I wanted to get a smart charger to go along with my new Trojan batteries. You can read more about bypassing OBC here:

I love Vermont...beautiful.
