Default more dumb questions again

I bought an engine bracket for my twin Vanguard. Do the existing rubber mounts come off? Its a 1992 G-9 Guess what I am asking is how do you mount the new cradle?

Does it go to the frame? I wondered, when I put the clone in I used all the stock mounting. It feels just like stock, no vibration.

yes, it goes to the frame but not where the old stock motor frame did. The rubber stock mounts dont match up, but when removed the holes match up to the new cradle.

I know some don't use the mounts because they can break. I don't know if they vibrate much without or not nobody seems to comment on it. This one feels exactly like stock just a lot more power, it does have the tension cable on it, no problems yet ran it most of last summer breaking it in good.

I guess I will try no grommets and see what happens. I started the vanguard on the bench and it seems to run very smooth with little vibration.

Do they have rubber in the swing arm mounts? I thought they did but forget.

Mine is bolted direct and tight..and it doesn't *vibrate* beyond what
a normal motor does.. I would actually NOT want it to have any movement..

I can feel the motor more at say an medium idle, than I can at a cruise, but it is
so minimal, even sitting direct on metal, or having my hand on it.

Now, it probably looks cooler idling to have it rubber mounted, and the headers mounted so they can flex and all that..
