Time to do as scottyB said and get a digital Volt meter , the difference between GOOD and almost Dead is only around 2 Volts

OK so you have
1. a bad Battery cable
2. bad connection
3. batterie(s) connected in reverse

ok I just took my dremel to all the cable ends and that didn't solve the problem. How will I know if the batteries are connected in reverse? If they are not....all of the cables look good so should I just replace them all?

. So are you are saying the entire pack is still at 17.76 Volts ?

If Yes ,
then disconnect the Main - "negative" on the last (6th) Battery,
and then the main + "positive" lead on the 1st Battery.
And if you have any devices which are connected to the battery pack "like" voltage reducers for headlights
disconnect those also .
Now with the Batteries isolated by themselves check from the 1st positive + to the 6th negative again !
What is pack voltage ?????

If you have a digital camera then post battery pack pictures , the closer the better.
