Default 1998 EZGO-Gas starting problem

Ok guys, I just bought a 1998 Gas EZGO cart. When it's cold you gotta choke it for a second then it starts right up and runs great. After you run it for awhile (10 - 20 mins) it wont start back up. The starter does not turn until you turn the starter belt by hand then hit the gas and the starter turns about 1/2 the time then.
Does anyone know what the problem is? I even took the starter belt off and it does the same thing. Is it just weak starter brushes or ???????

Sounds like you have a dead spot in your starter but do the free stuff first.
First thing to do is make sure you have a good battery to start with.
Check all of you battery cables for bad/corroded/loose ends. Any corrosion or issues you should clean/replace the cable(s).
Have you pulled the dust covers and looked at the brushes in the S/G?
They might need to be replaced along with getting the armature cleaned up that they ride on.
You can check the input volts to the starter just to give you an idea but it won't tell you if you have a resistance problem somewhere choking amps, you should have your starter/generator tested for amp draw under load.
