Analog Charge Meter
Someone gave me a analog charge meter that came off a clark forklift. My question is do charge meters draw power off the battery. Can I stright wire it or do I need to run thur key switch. This gauge only has two wires so would have to be wired thru some kind of switch.
Thanks, Bryan |

Re: Analog Charge Meter
Welcome to the forum!
Is the voltage of your cart the same as the forklift gauge? Although it doesn't draw much power, it is normal to activate the gauge through the key-switch. Here's a wiring diagram for a state of charge meter, it's the same as the gauge except only 2 wires are used, #2 and #4 in the bottom right hand drawing: |
