Loses power when accelerator floored
1998 48 volt Club Car. Batteries are full and charged, all over 8.5. Cart moves when accelerator pressed, but when it's pressed to the floorboard it stutters or stops completely. If you pull back an inch or two starts to go again. All wires seem tight. Any suggestions?

Re: Loses power when accelerator floored
My 93 cc had that issue, caused by too much "travel" in the v-glide. when pedal is pressed all the way, the moving contact loses connection with the contacts on the wiper board. Adjust the linkage from pedal to v-glide (or whatever your 98 uses) so it doesn't travel as far when pressed to the floor. Should solve the problem. Or look in v-glide for any broken/damaged resistors.

Re: Loses power when accelerator floored
what he said,
if Vglide , check where the wiper arm is at when this happens. |
