Just another tip.... after you tap the new threads very slowly pour a quart of cheap oil through the engine just to be sure you flush out any shavings from tapping.

Has anyone tried to swage/stretch the old oil tube? A small pipe expander, like used for exhaust tubing. Cheaper than a new tube, would satisfy not using jb weld, could be made to custom fit. May need a little heat during expansion. My 2 cents |
