Default New suspension for CC lithium?

It used to be a hot topic but I haven't seen much recently about trying to improve the ride on our carts after converting to lithium.

I was reading up on the new Club Car lithium carts and I noticed that they are touting a new suspension. I would love to hear from someone who has driven the new ones and can compare them to the traditional suspension.

I am also hoping that one of our awesome CC dealers might chime in with any info such as part# comparison, recommend cost part availability and general opinions...

Thanks,

Here's what they're advertising:

"SUSPENSION
Optimized stiffer suspension for a lighter weight battery pack provides enhanced comfort with maximum safety benefits, mitigating body roll through turns."

Having looked under one they must have fine tuned a leaf spring and shocks. I didn't see anything new. Unless they made changes since I saw the first one my local dealer got. It had a rear seat kit on it so maybe the 2 pass is different?

I'm certainly interested to hear more on this! Any bump at all with mine, it seems there is no suspension what so ever. I would guess the springs are just a lower weight rating, but I'm no expert to say the least! Nor do I have the equipment, patience, know how or time to fabricate a custom suspension...

FWIW, my EZ-GO txt that lost 400-lbs when I switched to lithium now has what I call the kidney destroying rear spring stiffness. Even with a rear seat on it's harsh. I think diving boards have more give than my rear leaf springs.

Change will come soon.....when I get the gumption to do it!!

What about going back to normal leaf springs and running air shocks to fine tune it? They come with fittings, air lines, and mountable schrader valve to fill both at the same time. They work great combined with leaf springs.

Im redoing my whole cart this winter. Looking for new shocks with my setup and debating keeping stock spring.

My cart is over 300 pounds lighter with Lithium than with FLA. I had to change the shocks. It rode terribly with the stock ones. (Yamaha)

Heck, I kept the stock leaf springs and shocks. Having done a lot of reading on here before doing my build, I knew the suspension was going to be rougher. However, with my cart being originally a gas cart, I was hoping the leaf springs would be a lower weight rating than for an electric cart. Don't know for sure, but I'm thinking they use the same leaf springs for gas or electric.

Right now the cart is stock springs with fresh shocks. It's not too bad for us because we mostly drive paved roads and golf courses. That being said if there's something new that Club Car came out with that just happens to be tailored to what we need after a lithium conversion...

Well break out the Visa and call UPS!

Hopefully Tahoe or another CC dealer might have some info. I've a couple of weeks before I get back to the cart...
