1979 club caroche electrical problem
My batts are fully charged and all battery cables new and snug. Was running great all summer then this morning for about 5 minutes and then wouldn't start up again. No solenoid click. Batts still test strong. Where do I start with my voltmeter and then go from there.

Re: 1979 club caroche electrical problem
There should be some microswitches somewhere that engage the solenoid. Not easy to get at on these old cars but if the activation one goes out, the solenoids won't click.
Usually there are 5 different solenoids also for speeds, and if #1 fails you get none of the others, or if one of the 4 fail you get clicks but no movement. |
