Zeva confusion....
Ok my FLA batteries are on the way out. I cant stand the things anyhow....
Im going to run a "72v" setup utilizing 10 nissan leaf battery modules (20 cells.) To that end a pair of Zeva's 12-cell Lithium BMS Module V3 should each handle 10 cells without issue. Now my confusion falls on what else is needed. Can i juat run a single EVMS Monitor V3 and be done with it, or MUST i also run a Electric Vehicle Management System V3? I really dont want the EVMS if i can avoid it....and will such a setup without the EVMS be capable of shutting off a charger? |

From what I see, the EVMS appears to be for high voltage setups. The documentation shows their example of a pack voltage of 148-V. Way more than the 57-V BMS that I'm running.
The ZEVA 12 cell BMS states the maximum voltage is 60-V. Now, I'm not quite sure of the setup using this for a 72-V system. This post may not be much of a help in answering your question.....more of a "Hmmmm" how you gonna do that? FWIW |

That is actually pretty cheap for automotive grade BMS, but it is likely overkill for a Golf cart system.

I think your best bet is to contact Ian at Zeva on this one. You may need to go with his older setup that I have, EVMS Lite V2 with two of the BMS 12 modules. But I’m not positive, I guess there is the possibility you can add one of the 12 cell modules to the BMS16 via CAN. Ian will give you the best setup for your needs.
