Default Motor rebuilds..

I was curious if anyone has any good vendors for rebuilding motors and not just Club car motors. Plum quick is close to me but doesn’t do rebuilds without the upgrades and it seems they’re getting slower at turn around times. I’d prefer someone that’s gonna warranty the work too. Thanks in advance

Best to call around to Electrical Motor Shops.... Not many want to work on small motors, just not a lot of money in it anymore....

There isn't much to rebuild. There's only one bearing, and the set of brushes. The only thing you probably can't do yourself is cut the commutator.
You can easily learn how to test the field coils and the armature windings for shorts. If either is shorted the motor is junk because those typically can't be repaired unless the damage is in an obvious place.

An alternator and starter rebuild shop can easily do whatever you need. Don't expect a warranty though. The only places that will offer a warranty on a golf cart motor are going to be specialty motor shops like PQ.

That’s what I was hoping to find...didn’t know if anyone on has had dealings with any shops other than PQ.

I've worked with Electrical motor products a lot. Chuck does good work. I typically deal with custom built/upgrades but I'm sure he can do basic rebuilds as well.

I'm not sure from the context of your OP if its a golf motor in question or something else, Ive not talked to him about other types of motors but couldn't hurt to ask.
