DCS solenoid non-activation saga continues
Fellas,
So I received back my newly rebuilt curtis 1206 (I'm on a budget) and still no joy. I still cannot get the solenoid to activate and once the pedal is depressed the reverse beeper now continually beep-beep-beeps. I have a couple of questions below. New Solenoid (bench tested good) New FNR micros ITS circuit appears to check out Pack voltage 37.4 All new High amperage cables I do not get 37.4 VDC across the small terminals of the solenoid 1. Does the diode ONLY get installed on the solenoid between the small posts? 2. Using the DCS troubleshooting (https://www.shop.fsip.biz/Image/GetDocument/en/157) I'm able to get everything to check out EXCEPT two items. a. Pin 3 check- With Reverse selected, must equal about 0V - If not about 0V, check wiring. My reading is around 2VDC b. Pin 7 check- With key switch on, accelerator pedal not pressed and F or R selected, must equal Pack Voltage - If not Pack Voltage, check wiring and for an open Solenoid Coil |

Re: DCS solenoid non-activation saga continues
OK so I went back and found my multimeter battery was almost dead and giving me some bad readings. Pin3/7 both test out fine now.
I get 0Vdc when measuring between both small posts on the solenoid and when I check each small post to Batt negative I get pack voltage. I ohmed out the entire solenoid activation circuit yesterday and it checked good. I guess I'll go back and redo it again to see if I missed something. Does anybody else have suggestions? |

Re: DCS solenoid non-activation saga continues
If the small solenoid posts have pack voltage then the controller is not sending ground to activate the solenoid. I have attached the diagram if it helps

Re: DCS solenoid non-activation saga continues
Are you getting voltage on controller pin 10?

Quote:
The small posts DO NOT have voltage between them. They ONLY show pack voltage when each post is tested to battery negative. |

Re: DCS solenoid non-activation saga continues
That is what I meant. Yellow wire should have pack positive from the key switch. Blue will show it until the controller sends blue to ground to activate the solenoid.
