Default Brake Cable Too Short

After installing my CPP big block kit in a 99 ez-go I can't find a good route for the passenger side brake cable and I keep coming up about 2 inches short of what I need to connect the cable to the fastener. Can anyone give me some advice on how to route the cable?

Cable should go through the mount using the hole under clutch.

I routed through the hole below the drive clutch and still too short. I think I know why I'm having problems. The rearend I'm using has the brake flippers you connect the cable to on the top of the drum instead bottom. My local ezgo dealer was able to get me a 50 1/2" cable from an early 90's something or other that worked with a little modification.

You can flip sides on your brake backing plate and make them hook to the bottom. Take off the plate that bolts to the axle tube and put it on the other side upside down, I do that all the time.
