Re: club car
Club car has used the same starter generator for practically forever.
Usually if the starter isn’t working it’s just worn out brushes and a new set of brushes and cleaning up the commutator will get it back in business and working again for many more years. Replacement starters can be hit or miss, so it’s usually worth it to pull the starter apart and at least check the easy stuff before spending several hundred on a replacement. If new brushes are all it needs, those are like $50. Club Car sells the OEM starter but they are well over $500 last time I checked. |
