I modified it in a couple ways. I took the bed frame off and bolted the seat with the diamond plate attached directly to the angle frame. I wouldn't use the bed anyway. That dropped the rear seat down 1-1/2" or so or so. The grab bar is located so as to allow the bed to hook onto it when opened. Since I removed the bed frame, I was able to move the grab bar back about 1-1/2" for a more compact look. I really like the way it all came out. If you need any suggestions, let me know. Glad to help any way I can. |

Re: Rear Seat Options
If you are referring to the drawing I made in PDF, I can't take photos of that because I never made one for my cart. Let me see if I can take a screenshot of it so you can see it.

Re: Rear Seat Options
Here is a drawing that shows the profile of the existing Steeleng seat back support in relation to the hinged one. This is not to scale in any way, but I believe it will place the front seat back about 2" to the rear, maybe more depending on the length of the 4" (more or less) horizontal extension bend.

Re: Rear Seat Options
I got the modz flip4 seat installed today with a couple of my daughters help :)
Measured 19.5” from the seat bottom to the lowest part of the steering wheel as stock. Measured 18.5” from the same locations after the seat kit was installed. However… with very little modification I can see it being very easy to modify the seat rest bracket. It’s pre-drilled with a hole to mount it at the top, and that location is way back, pushing the back rest forward. You have to mangle that bracket around and bend it pretty good ANYWAY to get it to fit right. It would be very very easy to cut that bracket up to 3 or 4 inches shorter, drill a new 1/2” hole and it would recline the top of the backrest quite a bit, as well as change that measurement. Tomorrow or maybe late tonight I have a one piece seat back from a newer DS I plan to install on this cart. It’s a bit cleaner and I like the one piece seat better. I’ll measure again after I swap it. I believe it’s a good bit thinner so probably recover at least that inch that was lost previously. |

Re: Rear Seat Options
Curiosity got me. Swapped the seat back
Actually about the same. 18.5” with the newer style seat back. It’s much thicker than I thought. Compared it to my 2008 with a madjax rear seat, it’s at 19”. No clue what stock was, it had the rear seat on it when I traded for it |
