My biggest concern was the lack of weight. I need weight for traction. I think I'm sticking with lead acid.

If you want traction then buy a set of tire chains. I have tire chains and when the snow gets deep, I can go anywhere.....well.....until the snow is higher than the cart floor and I get hung up.

Good point but you still need weight with chains if yo are going to pull anything.

Yes. And as I previously stated IMHO he would be better of just going with new Trojan's FLA's than worry about "the lithium learning curve."

In 7 years when he needs to replace the Trojans, I'm pretty sure lithiums will be far more advanced than now.....plus....if he eats a lot in 7 years the "weight needed" thing may not matter.

We don't need chains in Arizona. :-) The loss of 300 lbs only makes the ride a bit harsh with one person in the cart.
