Default 2001 Ezgo txt shuttle 2+2 changing to 48v question

Ok, this really has a long story that I won't bore everyone with, but what all would need to be changed to convert a 2001 ezgo shuttle 2+2 to 48v?

It has a D&D motor system model 170-003-0001.

The speed controller is I assume the stock one I can't find a model number, but I will include pictures of it.

Would both of these have to be replaced to convert it to 48v? Or, will either or both run on 48v?

Thanks!!

We need drive type:

Googling D&D 170-003-0001 says series.

Short answer, new controller, solenoid, cables, FNR, batteries, charger.

I bought everything in my sig from ScottyB, a site sponsor, except the motor, which you probably don't need. I'd also get a volt meter from him.

Follow battery break-in instructions on his site.

EDIT:
Go with high amp-hour batteries, given your extra weight. Most folks now go for six 8 volt batteries, though you may want to consider lithium.

So the controller will not work on 48v? I was thinking this was a 400 amp controller, but I don't know how to tell.

Thanks

Wait for someone smarter than me. Make/model if you can read it. I think I remember JohnnyB posting a shuttle manual before. Advanced Search might get you there.

Through my searching, I found this about the controller that I think I have.

Also, that cart should already have the HD springs, giving it much better handling. If that cart was in my area for $450, it would be in my garage right now getting the 'treatment'.
Is this reliable? Again, Thanks!

Controller might work on 48 but need to know model number. If yes then all you would need is 48 volts, charger and a solenoid.

I think from everything I have read that my controller is a curtis 1205-117.

kernal has been more than helpful in previous posts and everything he describes about his cart has been identical to mine. I will try and locate the label, but he says that the label is on the opposite end (bottom) of the electrical connections. Going to be hard to see without taking it out.

On this forum we have also seen this motor and controller show up on regular fleet carts also. Doesn't seem to be any reason or pattern necessarily. All "series" carts so far I think.
EZGO still makes the shuttle 2+2 on both the TXT and RXV chassis. The rear seats look to bolt on just like you can get after market. No electrical upgrades over the standard carts either. Not the same as they used to make.
