Default mini denso alternator confusion

so, I bought one of the 35amp mini denso alternators for our cart.

The alternator says it is for clockwise rotation. However, when I look at the direction that the fan blades are bent (front and back blades), it looks like ccw rotation.

can this be installed either direction?

don't want to burn it up due to lack of cooling.

Thanks

I would install as per directions for clockwise rotation. From the pictures the fan pushes the air through the alternator.

I found another thread on here where the gentleman installed it exactly the way I want to install it

clockwise from rear, front and rear fans

here is his photo (not mine) from his thread

Did you ever get this setup in your cart? I am in the middle of doing this type of conversion, and ended up finding another mini-cased alternator that is designed to spin ccw. The alternator I purchased was a Carrier Transicold 30-01114-07. Found it on Amazon. It is about twice the price as a mini denso, and has 70A of charging power.

Yes, I installed it last year with my Oppy Briggs and it did a great job.

Make sure you have the battery connected to the alternator output 1st before spinning it with a belt. Otherwise, you will cook the rectifier.. ask me how I know.
